Trog-Dave is a juicy hazy IPA brewed in honor of one of the legends behind the packaging line. Bursting with notes of ripe mango, citrus zest, passionfruit, and dank tropical goodness, this hazy is loaded up with Citra, Nelson, Mosaic, and Vera hops for a flavor combo that absolutely rips.

16oz can, adhesive label. Date stamp on label is 'PKGD 05/15/26', about a week in the can.
Moderately hazy, straw colored body. Two fingers of a pillow top white head, which slowly collapses to a partial cap and high ring. Leaves behind wide horizontal lacing bands.
Aroma is right there and wafting from the can as soon as it is opened. Smells of mango, orange, pineapple, and pine dankness. Further hints of other tropical fruits and black pepper. Overall dank but sweet.
Taste is sweet and fruit juicy. Immediate sweetness from mango, lemon, orange, and pineapple, and then the herbal hop/pine dankness appears. Aftertaste exudes the full spectrum of sweet, fruity, and dank flavors, and lingers. Low bitterness.
More than medium mouthfeel. Soft texture. Close to a nectar consistency. Coats the mouth and tongue. The mild bitterness is from the dank pine, plus a momentary black pepper intrusion with each sip. Very good carbonation. A thin foam cap follows the body down to the bottom of the glass, and thus leaves short lacing strings on the drinking side of the glass following the last sip.
Stays away from the overripe fruit overload of many hazies, plus not too "green" for its age in the can. Has a real balance among the sweet fruit, dank pine, and base malt components. Style enjoyment right here. It seems my rating is a little higher than early Untappd check-ins.
