Can from Boise Co-op. Medium golden, foamy head fades to nothing. Aroma is corn, adjuncts, slightly vegetal. Taste is also heavy on the grains, too much , and hops are an afterthought. Slick and oily feel. Tastes like a lager .

Clear golden brew with bright white foam in the Stella Artois goblet. The grain taste is really good, with dark honey and shredded wheat cereal. It's quite malty, so it's not quite the typical Pilsner, but it makes for a rounded and delicious quaff. There's a tangy note like green melon, which helps balance the sweetness.

Hops are bold but bitterness is restrained. There's a resiny note along with the spicy european taste and some citrus. Overall this is a surprising and flavorful brew. From the 12 oz can.

Served in Nonic. Poured a clean, clear bright yellow color with three-quarters of an inch of white head that had good retention and lacing.

The aroma was fairly typical, light grain and grassy hops.

Same aspects on the tongue.

The body was on the thin side, for the style, and had a semi-sweet finish.

Drinkability was fine, but I wasn't craving a second one.

Overall, an average, or just slightly below average, version of the style. Not bad, but there's better choices available.

definitely a little sweeter than the traditional europen pils types, but still a really solid drinking beer, crisp at the right moment at the end, and overall another tasty one from these guys. simple really, a pale pils malt base and a lager yeast with a little bit of flavor to it. the aroma is lightly floral, and a bit more fruity from the hops than the more traditional takes on the style, even a mango and citrus note to it, along with the usual grassy balancing bitter element. the flavor does have a little juicy sweetness in it, grain and hops together, but its resolved by the finish, and with all the bubbles and obvious freshness, this drinks really summery and light. i like the less crackery grain profile, its not so dusty and mineral forward as a lot of the german and czech ones are, and i like the different hop complexion. i think its cool to see more and more craft breweries in the states doing beers like this, and this really is mt favorite time of year to be drinking them. i thought this was refreshing, easy, and enjoyable.

Crystal clear gold. I can see my fingerprints on the back of the glass! The beautiful body is topped by a much less impressive white film with not much going on to help it out.

It's very bready scent is met with a little bit of a urine like aroma, but as bad as that sounds, it's not. An almost non existent dried flower hop presence on the end.

A far more sweet take on the Pilsner, as there is very little hop bite. It starts sweet and bready, almost even corn sugar influenced, though I doubt this. Again with the most miniscule floral touch finishes the flavor off.

As mentioned before, this is on the sweet side. It's also a bit oily. Not quite as bright or bubbly as a thirst quenching pilsner.

To me, this fits somewhere right in between a blonde ale and a Pilsner. It's a little too rich and full for the prescribed style, but nonetheless, it is an enjoyable beer. Cheers.

On tap in Portland at Untapped.
Clear amber body with a very good head.
Smells like a lighter pils but drinks big, with a ton of hops for style.

Overall: Lacks balance (for style) but not appeal: A pilsner for hop heads.
