Can from Boise Co-op. Bright golden pour with thick, one finger head, thick, clumpy lacing. Aroma is sourdough, malty. Taste brings some bitterness and tropical fruit. Thick and creamy, with a nice juicy vibe.

a cool series of experimental beers that i am only just learning about now with this one. the can has a date from early january, but the beer is still good and the hops dont seem faded to me. the beer may have coagulated a little bit, as there is some fish food sediment in this that might not have been there when it was fresher, but the aroma and flavor dont suggest this is old to me, even though it is by ipa standards now. the hops are centennial, idaho 7, and citra, a fun and interesting combination that sets the idaho 7 up in a way that its flavor and aroma is obvious, with the other two being such known entities at this point. the orangey and heady looking brew has notes of peach and melon to it, ripe and fruity, with a honey sweetness, and oily weed-like sort of dank and sticky property, and it has a slickness of feel too that sort of extends the hops without the beer being malty or sugary to me. cool fruitiness from these idaho 7 hops for sure, and the citra works so well with it. i get much less of the centennial, and there isnt much bitterness here at the end. i think the hop combination is great, and that the flavors of this are really good. i wish i got it fresher, but i now know to look out for these beers. they should consider making this one again...
