I remember when these guys were crazy dudes operating out of someone else's space; then when they were the primary occupants of a larger brewing space up north; and now they've got their own lovely little brewpub nestled near downtown Glenview (I think this area's considered downtown-ish, anyway, it's not far from the train station...). The place looks almost like a British pub of sorts, with that classical Commonwealth architecture and whatnot, complete with some patio space outside. Inside, the bar area is a square-ish affair, flanked by the brewing area that doubles as something of an event space (I saw a projector and chairs in there, movie nights ahoy!). It's all dark woods and the like, my kinda just-shy-of-totally-upscale feel, with some screens dotting the corners. With precious little time to spare, I got my flight and went through the range, which has expanded since those aforementioned olden days into a proper brewpub range, complete with multiple IPAs (of fucking course), some wheats, a sour or two, a marzen, and some stouts, amongst a few others. Not bad, just like the beers themselves. I even got a taste of a couple stouts as I was leaving, and those pastry bois really hit the spot. The staff were all good, attentive folks, though possibly lightly understaffed given the moderate volume they were seeing at the time (admittedly more than most of the surrounding places, so some leeway is needed). Food is indeed on offer, but I had nothing to do with it during my brief stay, so nothing to note there, sorry. Pricing was pretty standard for the area. Overall, a nicer place than I expected (for whatever reason, I can't explain my jank-ass brain), and I will definitely be stopping back in when next in the neighborhood I find myself.

Clean and comfortable taproom with beer brewed on site. The food menu is chef driven with an emphasis on simple dishes that use fresh locally sourced ingredients.

Plenty of options to choose from for sure, the amount of beers and different styles offered is very nice.

I wouldn't say this place is bad or that I had a bad beer here, but the vibe definitely came across as pretentious and not really justifiably so. I didn't get to go to many of the places I wanted to try in/around Chicago but I was disappointed this is one that we went to over some of the others. I'd drink their beer again for sure, but wouldn't put this high on a list of places to check out.
