Got in a trade from Shanex. 16 ounce can into wheat glass, canned on 5/7/2020, best before 5/2021. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light about of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, lime, cucumber, peach, pear, red/green apple, sea salt, wheat, herbal, grass and yeast earthiness. Light lactic funk. Light-moderate fruit/lactic tartness; and light bitter/spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, lime, cucumber, peach, pear, red/green apple, sea salt, wheat, herbal, grass and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, salt, wheat, and light earthy hop/spice flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering acidity. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic, lightly saline, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an excellent gose. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, salt, wheat, and light earthy hop/spice flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modest acidity; not overly lactic or salty. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Listed ginger and chili pepper on the label, but its basically non existent. The cucumber and lime were well represented, but there was nothing overwhelming on any aspect.
