Purchased in a little shop in Venice, Italy and consumed in my hotel the next day. Presentation: A copper/red and forest green label showing the "Castello di Udine" and a beer & hops on the label. Poured into a small hotel glass (no other choice). Appearance: pours a very clean transparent reddish brown (copper) color only slightly darker color than the label. A small head quickly vanished (like the head on an effervescent coke). Aroma: slight, sweetish, cola/soda-pop like aroma. Not much else going on. Flavor: Slight malt with chocolate bready tones, followed by a slight hop bite on the far end. Not much going on- not soured or skunked, but it is not enjoyable. Plus, it generated a lot of burping, like a soda. Mild, mild, mild. I actually poured half of this thing out.
