Castello Di Udine S.P.A. "Gold Stern"
50 cl. can, best by 16/08/16
I could be wrong, but I think that the can I sampled may have been contracted through Brouwerij Martens in Belgium. Unfortunately I didn't keep the can, but the parent brewer for this beer is certainly Castello Di Udine S.P.A.
Appearance: Clear. Golden. Bright white head. Average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Clean. Generic "beer" aroma with some background floral and herbal hops in the mix.
Taste: Lightly sweet adjunct malt. Limited floral/herbal hops. Mildly bitter. Basic, accessible, and easy to drink.
Mouthfeel: Light to light-medium in body with a moderate carbonation level carbonation that lends just a light caress to the palate.
Overall: Made for the masses Euro lager. Most likely a price-point beer. No defects. Basic and refreshing with a very light touch of character via the hop components.
