Castello Di Udine S.p.A. "Dahlberg"
50 cl can coded "Da consumari preferibilimente entro fine: PD: 15/09/2025 11:49 ED: 15/09/2026". Sampled on 25/22/2025
€.59 @ In's Mercato, Marcaria, IT
Look: Clear straw gold beneath a full head of bright white foam that drops readily. Limited lacing as well.
Smell: Clean. Lightly sweetish and grainy malt with a smear of herbal hops.
Taste: As the aroma suggests. There's not a lot of malt, nor are there any real hops to it. Is it real hops? No, the label lists "estratto di luppolo" which is hop extract - there are no adjuncts though. It's not bitter but it's got enough to balance it.
Feel: Medium-light in body and gently crisp.
Overall: This tastes like a watered-down beer to me, and to be honest i think it might be a high-gravity beer that's been watered down but I don't know. Regardless, it lacks character. As an inexpensive thrist quencher on a hot day it works but beyond that it's a bit of a failure.

Genova 23/7 2024. 50 cl can from iNs Supermarket in Sestri Levante. Green can in Classic can design insuring me of “Premium Quality”.
Pours clear yellow with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as uneven lumpy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with sweet, artificial fruit and a bit of sour grains. Pale sweetvsmalts, bread, canned peach. Sourish notes.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is thin. Lightly bitter. Lingers shortly. Finish is thin.
Forgettable - and not exactly "Premium Quality"..
