On tap in Rome. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is of grain and some hops. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is of some grain and maybe some hops. Finish is short, barely noticeable. Standard macro crap.

Birra Italia from a green 66cl to a glass, the beer is gold with a bit of white foam
Nose is malts, something slightly sulphuric and floral notes.
The taste is pretty much standard euro lager. Slightly sweet and grainy, a bit of spice from the luppolo. Not bad, but not overly memorable either.
The mouth is medium and crisp.
Pretty much worth the 2 euro I spent on it while in Roma.

Bottles brought back for me from Aviano/Venice. Very weak Italian lager. Poor showing from this lager, weak in every category. Bland and uninteresting....Listed on label as Birra Blonda

BIRC SPA "Lager Premium"
66 cl. brown glass bottle, dated "12.20 16", assuming a "best by" as it's 30 November 2015
Appearance: Crystal clear straw gold. Short head of bright white dissipates in less than a minute. Limited lacing.
Aroma: Sweet adjunct malt - not grainy. Corn is listed on the label. Mild, limited fruitiness (apple). Hops, and not hop extract, are listed as well but all that comes through is a "generic" hop aroma that's well in the background.
Flavor: The hops remain in the background, semi-floral and spicy, and perhaps even slightly grassy. The sugary "malt" pretty much rules the roost on this one, but at least it's mostly balanced by a moderate bitterness, and it finishes mainly dry. Subtle apple remains.
Mouthfeel: Light-medium in body and gently fizzy.
Overall: Laclustre and fairly boring, but also clean and somehow balanced. Inexpensive... but perhaps still not worth it.

A - Crystal clear apple juice and champaign. Fine white head has ok retention and lace.
S - Dense rye bread and bread crust nose.
T - White bread, butter, lime. Net sweet bready backend.
M - Super light; almost watery. Bright carbonation.
O - Brisk and refreshing, but the flavor profile could use a bit more balance.
