Picked up a bottle at the local Esso for a late night beer during Euro 2024. This is very mediocre as both a beer and a Pilsner. A bit too mild in the classic Pils flavor. Malt profile is flat and the hop profile doesn’t get much better. Meh.

Light golden, very clean. White foam, well done, a bit too quick to fall down.
Malty smell, quite clean, very classic. Some grassy hop.
Same for the taste. Easy, almost trivial, but you can't say it's a bad beer.
Decent, drinkable.

My grandma's sister brought one of these to the US from Germany for me. It's pretty boring. It's smooth, inoffensive, and uninteresting. Certainly better than a Coors or Budweiser, but that's not saying much.
Straightforward with a mild hops and malt flavor. Doesn't taste bad at all. Pours light gold with almost no head. Easy to drink with a decent aftertaste that isn't at all overpowering. It's a pretty typical cheap German lager. This is a VERY good beer if you just want to get drunk. Otherwise, I wouldn't ever seek one out.
While this particular brew is not the greatest example, Germany does what they do very well with beer. If that style appeals to you, their beers are hard to top.

one of the cheapest bottled beers I can get here ... however cheap doesn't always (albeight mostly) mean "bad" ... this brew is pretty ok, a full bodied lager with a caramel / marshmallow style sweetness ... relatively heavy (5.1% ...) ...
