for now a taproom only beer, wheat in its base, and brewed with tamarind and citrus. its light and summery, but the added flavors are intense, especially the citrus, almost to a degree that it doesnt quite taste natural, but its a refreshing enough glass of beer, i just wasnt reaching for a second one right away. you dont see a lot of tamarind in beer for some reason, but the flavor it adds is great, summery and tart, but also hearty with some tang and some earthiness, its obvious in this beer, but still well behind a forced citrus profile that i like when the beer is ice cold but get over pretty quickly when it warms up at all. lime maybe, lemon, almost 7up-like in its effervescence and forwardness, but i dont love it, and it comes off a little sweet with the wheat. some good and some bad here, but unique for sure, and that counts for a lot with me. so many of these small colorado breweries are all making the same beer, so its nice to see these guys taking shots at a little something different. nice for the summer this one, light on the malt side, easy enough drinking if you like the flavored beers.
