Poured into a Gavroche tulip. Pours a very dark mahogany brown with a half finger light tan head. Aroma of saison yeast, hints of chocolate, rather vegetal, hints of wild yeast. Flavor is very vinous; red wine tannins, ascorbic (like rose hips, which makes sense), saison yeast, tart, vinous finish. There was chocolate in the aroma, but it was overwhelmed by the red vinousness in the flavor. Medium bodied. I usually like the Propolis yeasts, but this one didn't work for me. I bit more chocolate would have brought this together more, perhaps. This one was a miss for me, and I wanted to like it from the description.
