Dry-hopped pale with fennel.
Crisp light pale with a very soft mouthfeel. Notes of citrus, light licorice and tropical fruit. Very easy drinking, smooth and refreshing with a light bitterness.

Clear golden amber in the Timmermans goblet, with plenty of white foam. This is the 2016 version tasted after three years in the bottle. Pleasant zesty aroma with an herbal nose. Thin and sharpish but not really sour, with a pleasant sudsy mouthfeel. This is supposed to be brewed with fennel, clove, coriander, and valencia oranges.
There is a hint of citrus and a lemony tang. Quite an astringent finish. Some yeasty bitterness in the aftertaste. Brewed with Propolis' wild microbes. From the 750 ml bottle purchased at the brewery.

Poured into a Pint Defiance tulip. Three or four finger head with a cloudy orange body. Aromas consist of spices, brett, candied orange, baked bread, and a hint of lemon. It reminds me of Orval. Flavors follow, and the similarity to Orval continues, just with some added tartness. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Slight mineral quality, and the beer is dry.

2015 Field Series.
its been a while since i reviewed a beer. but i had to for this one. i know it all comes down to personal preference but as a fellow brewer, this is an excellent saison. the mix of fennel and oranges and saison yeast just compliments each other so well. beautiful head lace with golden color. light on the mouthful, huge on the taste.

No reviews and only 2 Hads as I write this. Bottle says 17/14 above the brewery name and beer name, indicating a 2014 bottling.
Pours a hazy yellow with orange tint and a thick white head that looks lovely and eventually dies down and fades with very light lacing on the glass.
Nose is really nice assertive "Constant Comment" tea tones - those being coriander and orange peel. Smells like an orange spicey tea and is lovely and inviting.
Mouth feel is rich and medium to bold body with light carbonation. There is a little creamy texture, yet clean and dry.
Flavors are green herbs, celery, salt, light mint, hints of fennel and green pepper. There is a rich layering of flavors that is nice, inviting and appealing. These Propolis beer are complex and sophisticated saisons.
Finish is green honeydew melon and herbs. I like this one.
