A: Dark for a farmhouse ale, for sure. Mahogany brown with healthy, cream head.
S: Tons of herbs. Rosemary, thyme, maybe a little coriander.
T: Surprisingly malty (for the style.. the appearance was a bit of a giveaway), and breaks into tons of herbs - again, thyme is #1 and rosemary is #2. Peppery as well.
M: Excellent body and carbonation for a saison.
O: The herbs are quality and they really do work very well with the rest of the beer. The malt profile was well suited to these additions. There is nothing subtle about it though - the herbs are so strong it does detract from the refreshing nature of the saison ever so slightly. Not really a problem, just depends what you're after.

Poured into a 3 Monts tulip. Pours a slightly hazy coppery amber with a fine three finger white head with good retention and tons of lacing. Aroma of bready malt, saison yeast and herbal spiciness akin to sage. Flavor is caramel malt, saison yeast, honey and earthy summer herbs; sage, rosemary, lavendar, hint of clove. Medium bodied with active carbonation. Gardin has a somewhat sweeter and slightly more intense malt body than other Propolis offerings I've tried so far, which well supports the herbs here. It finishes more muted, but with a very pleasant light herbal aftertaste. I think I liked this one the most out the ales from this brewery so far this year. The flavor balance was excellent.

A - Pours a cloudy amber, slightly orangish. Very tight, eggshell head. Stays around to a ring around the glass.
S - Herbal, hay and bready.
T - Very herbal upfront. Has a carmel sweetness to it. I'm in agreement with the reviewer below me. It's not your typical saison with the herbal taste. But, it's so interesting.
M - Light bodied, medium carbonation. The herbal can be cloying at times.
O - I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. I like it for its uniqueness.

A: Poured a somewhat cloudy copperish color with a nice white rocky cap. The head retention is pretty grand with good lacing to follow.
S: Herbal for sure. A little toasty, bready, whiff of light caramel perhaps honeycomb.
T: Initial herbal grassiness upfront on toasted grain meets caramel backing. I noticed a frontyard floral type of taste. A very light alcohol presence on this provides a little under the radar warming sensation. The herbal presence is unique, unlike your traditional Saison. It reminds me of freshly cut summer grass after a day or so, that smell accompanies the taste.
M: Light-medium bodied, crisp, refreshing, flavorful with a nice effervescent feel.
O: An interesting take on the style indeed. A great local Saison which I will be trying more of! However, the pricae tag does is not warranted.
