Nice little Bier out of the Schwarzwald. Poured up a pale gold color than is brilliantly clear. Topped by a very tall and creamy head, I wasn’t waiting for any other form of invitation to dive in. This Bier looked incredible. Filtering through the thick Schaumkrone was very bright phenolic aroma coupled to a very mild pear and banana aroma. The malt background was soft with hints of grain and toasted malt. There are also hints of a citrus like tartness on the aroma. Lets drink…. To style this Bier exhibits a very high carbonation level. It’ll take a few minutes to pour this one correctly. Patience is a virtue! A nice mouth full of maltiness will great you up front. It starts sweet and finishes with a mild bittereness. The malt character is very nice and hints of citrus and a fruitiness come through. A very nice Bier!
