Weizen aus dem Schwarzwald! Und zwar nicht schlecht! Pours a very nice creamy head and fills the glass with milky gold to orange color. The aroma is dominated by a phenolic spicy character but a fruity banana is there to compliment. The yeast aroma is crisp, clean and very bready. The malt features a big wheat backbone with hints of grain. Hints of citrus are to be found floating around in there also. The Bier is very nicely carbonated, take care pouring up this one. Bottom pouring isn’t recommended here! Don’t worry, you’ll get a head, hell try to avoid it! It would be impossible. I found it to be a little to thin in the body. It starts sweet and flowers into a very nice toasted wheat flavor. Slightly spicy and has nice subtle fruit flavors. A very good Bier but I wish it had more mouth feel. The Kristallweizen from them is better. But this is a good Bier , no question there!
