A light golden India Pale Ale brewed with Best Pale malts and three hop varieties all from Australia and New Zealand including Perle, Victoria's Secret and Galaxy. A crisp and refreshing IPA with tropical fruit aromas and flavours with a zesty dryness to finish.

Fine looking beer on pouring and a good foam that holds in the glass. Non descript smell fruit and hops yes but with no explosion like say their Session IPA. Taste well. its thin and soapy at best and over whelming in fruit which loses the malt and hop kicks. Feel. When I reviewed the Ellennsberg Session IPA I complained that the brewer is misusing the term IPA - a generic term much in vogue. This beer continues that abuse. It has a low ABv and lacks in basic hopping let alone the over hopping of a true IPA which is intense hopping and a high ABv. I fear that there will be a new CAMERA soon to resist the misuse of 'IPA' this is at best a Golden Ale good enough to draw the younger drinkers off bog standard Lager.

From a 330ml an.
L: Very hazy, pale orange with a fabulous, fluffy white head.
S: Spicy orange aroma. But light & weak.
T: Herbal, tropical, bitter, dusty.
F: Light body, dry. Too thin for me.
O: Very ordinary, dry, bitter, leafy, low ABV IPA. Not satisfying or refreshing. A bit dank.

Jeez, there must more so called Antipodean ales being made in a single UK postcode than in the whole of Australasia.

Loads of honey, quite bitter with soapy hops and a citrusy finish. Very nice indeed. This will be my new go-to hop fix.

Hazy straw. Thick frothy head. Gentle effervescence.
Fresh grassy hops bouquet. Some fruit and caramel.
Powerful hop flavour. Bitter finish. A little malt biscuit in there as well.
Moderate feel.

330ml Can from Morrisons Supermarket (£1.50):
Quite a nice offering from Harbour & better than their session IPA but it still wasn't a great one either, especially after getting of to such a shaky start with the nose being far too light in that department. Overall the beer seemed to be more of a hybrid offering with hints of lager throughout but it was still a drinkable beer. Things did improve a little with the taste too & there was plenty of bitterness dotted about the place but again it was a fairly basic offering overall with the citrus seeming to dominate more than most would like.

Pours pale golden amber into a glass. Offwhite head is three-four fingers high, creamy, with moderate retention. Good amount of chunky lacing left on the glass after it recedes.

Aroma is noticeable from a short distance away; sweet stonefruits, grapefruit, mango, sweet grasses, and floral hops. The flavour is similar with a big punchy tropical fruit opening, some sweet and bitter mango and grapefruit, followed by a little fresh grass and pine, nutty roasted biscuit malts, and ending on aromatic hops.

Mouthfeel is moderate, with some silky creaminess, a little carbonation, and somewhere between wet and dry on the finish.

Really enjoying this beer; wasn't expecting something so well balanced for something bought at a supermarket. Give it a go.

Can, Morrisons, £1.50

Pours a clear gold, small head

Big burst of tropical fruit punch on the nose

Malt comes through on the taste, biscuity malts. Some decent citrusy bitterness with a metallic edge, dry finish. Low-ish body.

Good beer, perhaps more hop flavour would be nice
