This multi award winning Helles Lager is brewed with Lager malts and the noble Saaz hop. Herbal, lemon and fresh grain aromas which is light and crisp with an elegantly brisk and dry finish is as close to a traditional Helles as possible.

an unfiltered helles type lager, just my second beer from these guys and not one i particularly enjoyed. its too light, too thin, devoid of much character, and certainly lacking in the traditional german elements, both in the malt and the yeast, the whole thing seems watered down to me, i mean i like these light of course, but there really isnt much here at all, a shame because it was totally overwhelmed by spicy food when i was needing a somewhat more substantial palate refresher. its very minimally colored, white yellow in the glass and just a little cloudy from the can but not really, tons of bubbles it looks like a soda, but it really doesnt hold a head. the nose and taste are a little metallic, and the ferment isnt real clean or crisping, not sure if its the yeast strain or how its used here, some soapiness, a strange aftertaste thats actually more robust than the beer is while its in my mouth, no real hops either to help snap up the back end, and it just seems like yellow beer for mindless crushing, but even in that context its not clean enough to do it for me. disappointing, hoping it was a freshness issue or something and not the recipe and execution, one of my least favorite beers i had in england, the hangover did me no favors, but even parched im not sure this does anything for me...
