Previously brewed by St Austell Brewery for M&S.
Bottle. Clear golden amber with a wispy head.
Smells of light orange marmalade and dried meadow grass.
Fruity flavour with a mid bitter finish. Balancing malt presence.
Medium body. Somewhat overcarbonated.
Traditional EIPA.

L- A clear rich golden, pours with 2mm white head.
S- Nice, a surprisingly rich scent, with some beery complexity, suggesting decent body and perhaps not over-heavy on the hopping. We shall see!
T- It has got some pretty solid malts at the start and mid taste; the surprise is the pungency of the dry hops that come in into the finish. The same rich[ish] > hoppy-dry evolution happens on my palate on sip no.2. ... and 3, so it's more than a 1st impression of my 1st sip of a beer today.
F- It's over on the dryer side of things, but it has sufficient body to balance it. It tastes and feels somewhat more than it's labelled 5% ABV.
O- If you like both trad style (no youthful hops tasting of exotic fruits here!) and a materially hoppy-dry profile with balancing body this fits the bill very well. It's hoppier than I'd usually go for but I'm enjoying this a lot. It's polished too, there's nothing out of place or balance that I notice at all.
500ml bottle BBE: 07/2021 Bought today from M&S Oxford Street, London. When I got it home I realised I've previously rated M&S's 'Cornish IPA' but that was brewed by St. Austell Brewery. Production must have been withdrawn from them and handed to this brewery located roughly 5 miles away in Bodmin.
