L- Very pale straw. Pours clear with a 3mm white head. (ps 10mins later ... holds surprisingly really well for the style).
S- Citrus, grapefruit lead. Nott OTT though.
T- Not as citrus as the smell suggested. Certainly has a dry and bright profile, clean and crisp too.
F- Bright and refreshing, this would work well on a hot day in the garden.
O- I still get occasional clear citrus hints of smell as I sip, but the fruit is more subtle in the mouth. I think it's waaay better that way, I don't buy beer to end up faced with drinking something like a citrus-soda. It's also got just enough ooomph from 4.8% to balance out the summery bright palate. One of the very best contemporary palate beers I've had in a long time. Would I drink it again - absolutely no doubt.
Bought from M&S in Cambridge. 660ml bottle £3 BBE: 03-2023
p.s./edit: Now rated/reviewed I've read the lable. Surprised to see the ingredients include sugar! The front lable describes it as 'Crisp and refreshing with citrus notes'.
