A: Pours a relatively clear medium golden apricot in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and light to moderate amounts of amber + honey orange + medium golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall foamy light beige head that reduces to a large patch of very slightly mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of pale + toasted + bready malts with a light to moderate amount of honey sweetness and light aromas of grassy + floral hops.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of pale + toasted + bready + wheat malts with a light amount of honey sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of grassy + floral hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and not overly sweet even with the presence of honey. Enjoyable but kind of simple, not one that I would go out of my way to find again.

Growler of Oyster Bay Honey Ale purchased 3/11, tasted 3/12/16.

Poured chilled into a highball glass. Moderate head due to low growler carbonation (a good thing). Light amber color with a hint of haze. The brew is balanced, and follows up with a great flavorful hoppy aftertaste. The hop flavor here is more traditional; I don't find any of the modern IPA character. I like this brew.

A solid brew from another new small brewery. A very good effort.

An unexciting brew with grain, caramel and toasty malts, and then a touch of honey flavor that peaks its head as the beer fades off. Sweetness hints up front as the beer falls apart after the honey.
