A big hop bomb, complex in both aroma and flavor with notes of tangerine and tropical fruit. Made with Citra, Mosaic, Ella, and Cascade hops.

Pours a slightly hazy deep amber color with a huge white head that left blotchy lacing all the way down the glass. Smells and tastes of tropical fruits, grapefruit, honey and additional flavor of lemon pith. Alcohol is well hidden, creamy mouth feel, medium to full bodied,, moderate carbonation.

Boozy, sweet, sloppy mess. Decent for a LI IPA, compared to what else is brewed here. Stop thinking that anyone but Sand City is hitting the mark, stick to their brews.

Soft amber color, faintly hazed, with a massive head of off-white foam that left lots of messy lace behind. Featuring Citra, Mosaic, Ella, and Cascade hops, it had a battery of powerful aromas, ranging from rich fruits to dank pine. The flavors are equally compelling, with suggestions of darker-fleshed tropical fruits and dank citric pith; resinous caramel sweetness rounds the hoppage off... The body has some heft to it, smooth, leaving a nice shellac of sweet pine behind to the tune of 65 IBUs. I have had a great run with NE-style D/IPAs from Trillium and Other Half this year, but it has also served to make me really appreciate these danker and more resinous brews, with less "fluffy" bodies - although I might say this does have a certain "creaminess" to it... 3/11/17 canning...

Poured from a 16oz can into a Speiglau IPA glass.
Look is a rich hazy amber with a thin white head.
Hops are earthy and herbal with an astringent lemon note at the end.
Taste is a nice balance between the hops and a honeyish malt note.
Glad to see more local breweries attempting hazy double IPAs. This is a nice new release from Oyster Bay. Hope they continue exploring this style.

-orange-amber tap pour with some haze. Foam cap yields to spotty "lacing." Minimal aroma. Flavors are almost all grapefruit hop with a wisp of tropicals. Hop-bite is substantial and pleasantly persistent. Mouthfeel/ finish is thin. The ABV is not so easily detectable, good job, but there is not much flavor or a nose. ($10/12oz at the brewery is anamolous too, even for NY)
