Honey-amber appearance. Even head, even some lacing. Aroma ran a little sweet, honey glazed donuts, clove and brown sugar. The malt component is very pleasant, light biscuitiness, some toast, and golden pie crust. Spices are fairly light, not cloying, and complementary rather than distracting...mostly cinnamon/ginger. The pumpkin tastes squashy if a little green. Light body, low ABV make it a good choice for indian summers on LI.

Wow. Not a big pumpkin guy but like this one. Has all the normal spices but not stringent like others. Smooth special car like drinking a hot tea. Spices are just as prevalent as other brands but seems so smooth.

Great color, aroma, taste. On the slightly lighter side.

The beer tastes surprisingly similar to Schlafly Pumpkin, but at 5%. Upfront, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, all the familiar fall flavors as a caramel sweetness hits in the middle and the beer falls off with touches of gourd flavor. A flavorful beer at its ABV.

My favorite of all pumpkin beers. Has a great balanced taste, but isn't too heavy like other pumpkin beers. It also has a nice fall aroma to it, like pumpkin pie.

1st beer review:
Fresh growler from Oyster Bay Superstar Beverage.

A: Served in a tulip glass. When I first saw the beer pour into my growler it looked like an IPA with that nice golden amber color, which IMO is not horrible.

s: This beer had a very nice light pumpkin pie smell. Almost a lighter version on Souther Tier Pumpkin. This beer was very refreshing because the cinnamon, nutmeg and clove spices were not over powering.

T: Overall the taste of this was very smooth and tranquil with the perfect amount of carbonation. I can drink this whole growler to myself because it has the perfect blend of spices in it to make you want to drink more of it.

O: So far I think this is a great pumpkin beer and can not wait to see what else Oyster Bay Brewery comes out with.

Thanks to Mac for sharing this growler! This is a nice, sessionable pumpkin ale that is not too sweet and not too cloying as many pumpkin beers tend to be.

The beer has a nice look with an orange hue and decent head and lacing. It kind of reminds me of an ipa in look, which isn't a bad thing!

The smell has a very pleasant array of pumpkin pie type spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, cardamom, and even maybe a touch of lactose sweetness reminding me of a whipped cream. Very nice, it is very enticing with a great warmth to it.

Taste-wise it isn't very thick and is somewhat thin but pleasant with the great spice array from the smell, with a heavier dose of cinnamon reminding me of Vietnamese cinnamon (which is more intense). It is surprisingly easy to drink and doesn't get old, which again to me is a fault of many pumpkin beers out there.

Overall a very nice pumpkin beer, a style that isn't always my favorite, but they do a great job with this one.
