"Ellida IPA aged in Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels."
Served from tap into a shaker. Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow-orange with a one finger off-white head that subsided to a minimal amount very slowly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, fruit, citrus, citrus hop, fruit hop, wood, earth, and earth hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, fruit, fruit hop, citrus hop, citrus, earth hop, earth, spices, wood, and very subtle vanilla. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a fairly good brew. There was really quite a bit going on in this one if I am honest. There was a nice spicy earth note going on in the flavor of this one that I liked, but there was just a little too much of it if I am honest. This didn't hurt the drinkability of the beer at all, but it did cover up some of the aspects of bourbon barrels that I really enjoy. Another well done brew by the crew at Quest. Can't wait to see what they come up with next. Tick.
