On tap at Greenville Fall Fest.
Lots of pumpkin in the nose,
A bit too much spice, particularly clove and ginger, in the flavor.
Very complex: white pepper, orange pith, ginger, dried apricots, white bread.
Very wellj chosen carbonation level.
Medium body.

Had at the beer release in early September. On draft into a Quest tulip.
A: Orange with just slight golden hues on the edges of the glass. Very much similar to actual pumpkin flesh.
S: Like smelling the most awesome, hot out the oven pumpkin pie. You get some traditional belgian sweet esters but it's mostly overtaken by the pumpkin spices.
T: Taste like you would want a really good pumpkin beer to taste. Lots of traditional pumpkin pie spice. There is definitely something resembling a belgian yeast flavor present even though they used a french saison yeast strain. I got a little actual pumpkin flavor on the very backend as the spices start to retreat.
M: I was really hoping for a little lighter, dryer mouthfeel given the style. More sweetness than normal in a saison but that's probably unavoidable given the spices used. The sweetness coats the mouth a little but nothing like a big stout.
O: I love that these two styles were brought together by the guys at Quest. I think it works pretty well, and I was surprised how well the belgian and pumpkin flavors played together. One of my favorite pumpkin beers for sure!
