Notes: Based in Cambridge, MD on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, local boys brewing local beers.

We built our brewery in an 80-year-old former pool hall and bowling alley with the goal of maintaining the building’s history while producing well-balanced American brews 10 barrels at a time. Proudly brewing since the summer of 2013 with no intentions of slowing down, striving to continuously produce products that our community can take pride in. Drink Fresh.

Our 46 seat taproom sports a handcrafted Cedar bar top along with multiple Red Oak tables supported with artwork from several artists including our house "RARtist" Bj Wheatley. We also offer a pub style menu that goes perfectly with our 12 tap draft system with a constantly rotating lineup. As well as various private and public events weekly, RAR also offers live music every Friday and Saturday evenings featuring various local artists and some out of towners.

Right downtown in the heart of Cambridge (such as it is), its not a architecturally inspiring space but they've really gone to great pains to breathe life into it with a seemingly endless wealth of quirky decor. It was really crowded the day we were there as they were having can releases and their anniversary celebration, but service was still reasonably good, got to give them credit for being prepared for the crowd. The beer selection is exactly what you'd expect from their reputation and the beer is consistently excellent. Obviously a must if you are for some reason in the area and well worth going out of your way for even if you have to drive a bit.

Really cool taproom vibe. Service was very friendly and we managed to get a taste of the delicious Ice Cream Seas on draft. Aside from the odd bottles and cans of their Nanticoke Nectar IPA, they also do crowlers and growlers of the non-limited beers.

Cool spot in the heart of Cambridge. Basically an open room with 2 open garage doors to let in some fresh air. Bar up front with one big screen tv. Not all that kid friendly, but we made it work through a whole Ravens game with a 1 year old and a 6 year old. Staff was very friendly and the shuffleboard and foosball were cool touches. About 9 beers on tap with growlers and Crowlers to go and flights, half-pints and pints on site.

OK, on vacation with the the family.
Stopped by the brewery to get my stash.
With the the open air blowing in from where a wall should be (LOL..)
It's got that "blue collar", "stop by and have a few, vibe before you go home"
Orioles and Ravens on the TV's (it is Cambridge !)

Beer right there next to you fermenting . MMMMMMm fresh.
Even took a pic of the brewmaster. (I don't think her likes his pic taken)
Good menu, fresh beer.
Waking past the place...it's like you have to walk back and stop in, no matter what you are doing.

And that my review

I visited this brewery on my way to the beach, I had a flight and all the beer was good. I wish I could visit this again but it is a little out of my way on the way to the beach.

Picked up some oil cans on the way to the beach. Olil cans are much better then growlers. The place was quite in the middle of the day. So they were cool with me bringing in my kids. They are located on a pretty cool old town style street.

Dope ass spot to chill and drink some top quality brews. RAR is putting out fantastic ipa/dipa's right now. Hyde is world class, track it down and go out of your way to find it. Tasting room food is pretty damn tasty as well. Definitely worth the trip.

This brewery is rising quickly as one of the better breweries in Maryland. Between this brewery, Evolution and Burley Oak, the Eastern Shore is turning into a craft beer powerhouse.

Visited this place on a Saturday evening on the way home from eastern shore to home on the western shore. Owner was friendly and courteous despite a very busy evening crowd. Nicely laid out place with open air options if the weather is nice which it was the cool summer evening we visited. Beers were all very well crafted and enjoyable. Food and service still need some serious help. Service staff was friendly but not very experienced for a busy situation. My wife and son got their food timely but they were done before my food was available (and still not ready) so I had to cancel my order because we were on a time schedule and had to get home. Overall I'd definitely go back but they need additional staff or better organization of serving food while still paying attention to the beer.

Still the happy same since opening , but so much more in other ways. Still a great place to grab a beer; talk beer; sit at bar or table; play a little shuffleboard...easy to interact with owners, breeds, team. Fun and relaxed. Always great choice of RAR standards (which keeps expanding); high end one offs; barrel aged versions and experiments; ALWAYS something new. Excellent IPAs and Stouts. Now some exciting sours and collaborations.
Love that you can always get cans; growlers and Crowlers for to go.
These guys have a modest operation, but act and “walk the walk” like the big guys ( and girls)! So worth a stop when on The Shore.

The new kid in town in Cambridge as well as the shore. Nice and open room with a bar on one side and cafe style tables throughout. The 2 front windows are actually garage doors that open right up giving it a great atmosphere and making it very open and airy feeling.

Only 2 of their beers on tap. Had the Bucktown Brown that was just great-a real solid brew. Maybe 8 to 10 guest taps. I understand they were not brewing while I was there but ramping up the kettles to do so shortly. Food is available and it is brought in from outside restaurants that are located in town.

A nice place and solid beer to start.
