Sampled on tap at the brewpub.
12 degrees plato, 4% alcohol, 36 IBU (from the website)
This porter poured almost black with hints of brown around the edges and with light brown foam that coated the glass nicely. The smell was dark, roasted malt and bitter coffee. The taste was dominated by pronounced flavors of very dark roast coffee, dark malt, mollasses, and perhaps a hint of chicory, but with some sweetness to balance. Not much chocolate detected though some very bitter chocolate might be in there if you look hard. Despite all the talk of bitterness in the taste, this porter was smooth and balanced. The body was medium-full, and this porter was fairly dry overall. This was a good, truly robust porter.

I think I just didn't get a good pour or something....
I thought this had slightly soapy aroma. Deep brown color, with a nice head that left some creamy lace throuout the glass.
I thought the mouthfeel was a bit thin. The taste was that of roasted malt, with a very quick finish, which was surprising.
Would like to try this again, maybe on my next visit. pat
