Not sure what makes it "green" but when asked, the waitress said it had a third the bitterness of Leatherlips. Whatever it is, this is one freaky-ass beer.
Looks fantastic. The apple butter haze slowly clears in a rich, slowly rising cream that nitro-tap wishes it could attain. A thin creamy latte "cookie" forms and holds its shape with great determination. Ladders and clumps of lace all the way down.
Then we get weird, with a sweet and sour, hot and grassy scent. Imagine an orchard with overripe peaches littering the ground and attracting bees and wasps while the lawnmower goes by down the lanes between the trees.
Then amid the perfect, soft and silky sips, comes lots of apricot fruit, and more grassy hops. There's something a little off about it, but there's so many other good things going on it doesn't matter. The resin and citrus linger linger linger, with a bit of pepper that leaves an earthy heat on the lips.
Quite the experience.
