One of first truly beautiful spring days drew me to the source of this Blonde. A beautiful, clear golden-amber with a few streams of rising and steady carbonation fill the tulip. By the time this gem arrived to me on the deck the head had settled to a shallow cover yielding a sticky lace. It appeared the head was initially no more than a 1/4 inch. Ample was the nose of sweet malt married with floral hops. Something else shared in character but I could not identify it. The body was moderate feel with malts upfront, perhaps a hint of citrus, balanced and finishing dry with the softness of the more floral hops dominating the welcomed yet delicate bitter. This finish lingers to satisfy. Overall, I enjoyed taking in the color, smoothness and unique balance. This was good. Thanks Dann!

This beer is a Hefeweizen on steroids. I mean that in a good way. All of the good characteristics of a Hefe, with more hop punch. It poured a clear gold with a thin white head. Champagne bubbles fill the head as I take in the aroma. The nose has some of the banana and a light malt caramel like a hefeweizen. More hop flower and citrus. Heavy hefeweizen influence in the flavor. Slick mouth feel with a sweet finish. Interesting beer.

Was told that some like it hot with this one on 3/16/2005. 10.5 oz. pour at the [AC]PH in a stemmed wine glass.
Very thin, teasing sheen of miniature bubbles with more on the outside edges. Golden honey hue and deathly crystal quiet. Some tart aspects on nose clover, lemon, but overall a very light bouquet. Acid wash of flingy malt on mouth, with some nice bittering character and oozing honey. Alcohol is seemingly hidden behind the golden veil, and an almost piney note kicks in as the pour warms. This is a drinkin and bikin water bottle filler if ever there was one.

Sampled on-tap at The Tap.
This beer poured a very clear, golden amber color with very white foam that persisted quite a while but then settled but left some small lace on the glass. The smell was lightly fruity with a sort of Dortmunder or Helles lager aroma with a distinct hoppy aroma reminiscent of English bitters. The taste was malty with a very faint sweetness and moderate hoppiness. There was an unexpected touch of fruity esters and a slight phenol taste as the beer warmed. The alcohol was well hidden with only the slightest hint of the strength of this beer. The mouthfeel was very smooth and dry with medium body and good carbonation. The aftertaste was lightly malty and hoppy. This was a very nice and dangerously drinkable beer. I was somewhat at a loss as to how to categorize it, but whatever style it is, it is a very good beer!
