On-tap @ Bukowski's (Cambridge).
Amazing. Tastes like an English import! You'd have no clue that this was from The TAP. After a while I forgot and had to remind myself that this was brewed in Haverhill, MA. A dark brown brew (hard to tell in the darkness of Buks) with bright edges and a very healthy head and lacing. Metallic-like nose with a slight cellar smell. Watery body with a distinct English feel on the palate; dry with notes of baking soda. Very little sweetness, but there's some toasty flavors that help balance the well-established results of Dann's water treatment. Low bitterness, with some leafy hop character lurking around.
A very approachable and sessionable beer. So damn Englishesque.
