This dark porter must be back. On tap at Redbones 9/7/06
A: Pours a dark brown almost jet black with a frothy one finger milk chocolate melts in you mouth type head. Excellent line by line lace down the glass.
S: Chocolate and burnt coffee notes tingle the nostrils.
T/M: Tastes of burnt chocolate and roasted coffee malt notes cross the taste buds. Very smooth with a suprisingly nice bitterness to the dry aftertaste. Medium body with a good coating of the palate. Perfect for a nice fall evening.
D: Definately another great tasting brew from The Tap. They seem to keep putting them out there. Try this if you can!

Sampled on-tap at the brewpub.
This porter poured a very dark brown, almost opaque, color with tall, brown foam that clung to the glass and left some lacing. The smell was malty and creamy with a hint of chocolate. The taste was malty with tastes of cocoa and bitter chocolate malt, and moderate hoppiness beneath. The mouthfeel was very dry and smooth with medium-full body and moderate carbonation. The aftertaste was malty with the taste of cocoa. This was a very nice and enjoyable porter.
