Sampled on-tap at the brewpub.
This ale poured a cloudy, coppery amber color with tan foam that settled to a thin coat on the surface. The smell was malt, banana, and sugar. The taste was malty with flavors of sugar and phenols and some fruity esters as well. The flavors were bold and complex. The mouthfeel was smooth and tangy with medium body and good carbonation. This was a good beer, but perhaps somewhat out of style (?). Enjoyable nonetheless.
