9/17/17 canning date

A: Pours a light opaque orange. Tall but thin light tan head. Semi-decent spotty bits of lacing once the head recedes.

S: Juicy for sure. Light tropical fruits and citrus. Maybe even lime?

T: Oh yeah, juice bomb. Pineapple, grapefruit and yup, lime. Sweet and juicy initially but the sweetness runs out fast, leaving a dry crackery malt and a SUPER dry piney finish. Tons of floral hops and some lime in the aftertaste as well.

M: Lighter bodied, incredibly dry. Mouth-parching about one second into a sip.

O: Not a bad session APA. It's juicy for a second and then dry - oh so dry. My mouth feels puckered it's so drying. Definitely makes for a light, crisp beer but MAN is that dry!

Consumed 9/10/17

A: Golden tangerine with some pale yellow around the edges - hazy as advertised - pours with a small, white head, fades to virtually nothing, but leaves a few streaks of lacing

S: Juicy and tropical - some soft citrus, tangerine and orange juice with a touch of grapefruit zest - floral citrus - some lightly leafy and herbal hops - really nice fruit aromas, with peach, mango, passion fruit - light hints of pineapple and lime - pale, bready malts at the base

T: Soft, fruity, decidedly "New England" - tangerine and orange juice, just a touch of citrus zest - floral citrus and floral, leafy hops - light hint of spice - very fruit-forward, with ripe peach, mango, and passion fruit - very low bitterness - light, bready malts, perhaps a touch of oats

M: On the light side of medium, silky smooth body, finishes clean

O: At least the beer isn't invisible

I love the fact that even breweries that are older (i.e., didn't open two weeks ago) are getting into the hazy pale ale craze. Invisible Creatures tastes decidedly different from anything I've had from The Tap (and I remember when they were called Haverhill Brewing). It's great. Other than needing a touch more bitterness, I honestly think this stands up to many more-hyped beers coming out of MA breweries.

"New England Pale Ale". Golden orange yellow in color. Very hazy in appearance. Stone fruit, melon, lime and orange. Cracker/pilsner malt profile. Pretty good for a sub 5% beer.

Overall decent. If you like juicy New England style IPA's this one is for you. The hop character is nice but that orange-juice tone shines through. At 5% it's totally crushable and refreshing, but it's by no means mind-blowing. Worth a try.

Purchased cold - 16oz can dated 8/10/17 "GHOST WITH THE MOST" - Poured into an English pub glass

L - Pours a hazy light orange color with a 1 finger loosely foamed head on a mildly aggressive pour, dissipating quite rapidly. No real lacing as it goes down.

S - Melons, tropical citrus, faint hint of pine and bready malts.

T - Melon, white grape must, tropical citrus, with a lingering faint earthy pine on the aftertaste.

F - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

O - Bravo Tap, Bravo! Beautiful, complex palate on this one, delightfully hazy and a real pleasure to drink. I was surprised by the vanishing head but it lasted long enough for me to get my sniffer into it. This is an absolutely fantastic brew.
