Specially made on Cask for Bukowski's in Back Bay.
Deep, dark brown. Nearly black. No light passes through the glass. Tiny beige head which I expected from the cask pour.
Dark chocolate aroma. A bit of burnt malt to the nose.
Served at cellar temperature, I get a solid foundation of semisweet chocolate. Thin, almost watery, body with the minimalist of effervescence. The flavor profile comes through in the swallow and aftertaste. I like the Cask treatment but the beer is still fairly one dimensional.

Lost my shoe horns with this one on 6/12/2006. 16-oz. pour in a shaker glass during the US/Czechoslovakia soccer game.
½-inch head of thick mocha remains for almost three minutes, with 100% stick. Eventually, it settles down to a full, sheeted coating. Ichor, pitch black tar hue that, even with a mag light, would be difficult to see through. Real licorice, chocolate sweetness on the nose with some background smokiness and plums/black cherries. Oak char, chocolate malt huskiness; nice and smooth on the mouth.
This one is practically sessionable.
