Served on-tap at the brewpub this afternoon with my lunch. Poured a pitch black in color that may have been a shade towards chocoalte brown. Thin white head rested on top that evaporated nearly completely. Nose is a warming aroma of toased malts and coffee.
Flavor had mroe of the same plus an oatmeal sweetness and dark chocolate bitterness. The finish takes its time rearing its dark roasted coffee finish. And that finish lingers quite a bit. Mouthfeel was like velvet. Heft and smooth. Nice beer. Would definitely order again if I have the chance.
