Very interesting beer. Took home a growler after a recent visit to the Tap. Poured into an oversized wine glass a somewhat hazy, honey color. Long lasting head leaves a decent amount of lacing.
The smell is buttery, with a fair amount of clove spiciness and a bit yeasty as well.
There is a lot of spiciness up front with the first taste as well. Definitely alot of alcohol, whcih gives the beer some cognac/brandy like qualities. Despite the alcohol bite, it is still quite buttery and smooth, with a sweet honey taste. Fairly effervescent in the mouth, which gives it a nice medium mouthfeel. Very good beer. Really not something to drink all day, two was all I could handle, but would be good as an after dinner drink. Also went well with some cave aged goat cheese. Head up to the Tap and get some.

Great beer! Served in a snifter as a 12oz portion. Beer menu said no pitchers of this one. I presume all this is due to the 10%ABV. A clear orange color with a medium-sized white head that is very sticky. A fruity, spicy aroma. Taste was mainly some warming spice with a little sweetness. Very pleasant and a truly enjoyable beer. Our server said it made a great Black and Tan. I'd like to try that.
