Pours a bright mahogany in color beneath a creamy white head. Thin and cascading lacing with decent hold down the glass. Aromas of slick caramel and dark fruity-esters: plum, cherry, grape. An inviting alcohol presence blends the fruity esters together. Mild caramel and toffee without richness, joined by juicy cherry and plum flavors. The finish is a bit thin, bumped up by a noticeable alcohol presence and a touch of floral hops. Mouthfeel is watery at times, but smooth for the most part. A decent English Strong Ale, with a nice, deep fruity character with an interesting alcohol presence.
