A clear but deep mahogany color with a slim off-white head and decent lace. A fairly mild aroma but suggests some nuts and coffee with a little caramel. The flavor is pleasantly bitter hop with a nice brown bread background. There's a little malt sweetness, healthy carbonation, even a bit tangy. Generally I would describe this as a mild but very pleasing brew. Only 5.2% ABV so you could make this an all night sucker and there's enough flavor to keep it interesting. Wish there were more bitters available out there. Give this one a try if you make the trip to The Tap in Haverhill. Excellent destination!
