On tap at the Horseshoe Pub in Hudson, and served in a standard pint glass. Dark brown color, with a pillow-like head. Good amount of lacing. Smelled like cocoa powder. Taste was excellent. Really rich chocolate flavor intertwined with a nice roasted malt profile. Had that very fresh, straight-from-the-brewpub taste. Silky smooth and creamy on the palate. Could have drank gallons of this beer. An excellent offering from the Haverhill Brewery.

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for bringing me back a growler from New England!
Pours dark brown with some ruby highlights. A thin, creamy white head leaves some lacing.
The smell is of rich milk chocolate/cocoa with a hint of bourbon and vanilla.
The taste is of rich milk chocolate with bourbon and vanilla. Sweet, but with a lightly roasted, bitterish, balance in the finish.
Creamy, medium-bodied. Very smooth.
Very drinkable - glad to have a growler of this one. Interesting and tasty with a nice balance to the sweetness. Quite creative with a nice bourbon/vanilla/lactose/roast complexities with rich chocolate - complex yet so drinkable.
Thanks again to John for this creamy treasure!
