From a growler brought back from the brewery from me by jcwattsrugger - Thanks John!
Pours bright copper with a foamy, lasting white head that leaves sticky lacing on the glass.
The smell is herbal/tea-leafy and earthy/piney with a biscuity background.
The taste is of initial hop spiciness (Glacier hops, according to the web site) - herbal/sappy/earthy/slightly citric. The initial hop spiciness gives way to a bready/biscuity/slightly caramelish maltiness. Becomes sweeter as it progresses with just a hint of bitterness reappearing in the balanced finish.
It has a medium body that feins fullness due to its creaminess. Smooth and refreshing. The body holds together well with a good medium carbonation level.
An interesting brew - spicy/hoppy, then malty sweet and smooth, then a balance in the finish. Smooth with a modest abv and enough taste going on to make it easy-to-drink.
