Poured on-tap at The Tap, the beer was served in a nonic pint. The beer is a bright, light, caramel-copper coloring with a filmy, bright white head. Nose of nut sweetness, with subtle roast notes, and a grainy backbone. Very clean, minimalistic nose. Flavors of roast toffee sweetness, and hints of smoke. Robust and bold on a smooth, light body. The aftertaste has hints of smoke, with caramel and toffee sweet melting across the palate, like a Werther's Original. Smooth, sweet lingering finish. Way too easy to drink!

Had on tap at Union Ale House
Appearance: minimal carbonation and head, a gold in color, clear
Smell: honey, toasted malt, grains
Taste: honey, toasted malt, grains
Mouthfeel: light bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet, crisp
Drinkability: Nothing to go out of my way to get, but if I had a six, it goes down smoothly enough. An average pilsener.
