This special brew found on tap at the Haverhill brewpub shows a dark black brown color, thick with a modest tan colored wispy cover and fair lacing. The aroma brings burnt coffee and roasted malt, deep and satisfying. The flavor follows suit with a solid licorice and nutty malt combination that is fairly well balanced. It's a medium bodied baltic porter, a lightly carbonated brew. The tongue finds it to be smooth and a bit silky. Also a little on the sweet side and is moderately bitter. Very enjoyable.
