Appearance: Black glass, holds a finger of head which is dark tan and lasts.
Aroma: Burnt grain, maple syrup, coffee.
Taste: Much of the aroma, the maple syrup is strong but the beer isn't overly sweet. It is a dessert kind of beer, a slow sipper to be paired with some food.
Mouthfeel: Edges into the heavy range, mild chew.
Overall: Solid beer, ordered a second pint out of the taster, would look for it in bottles. It's pretty sweet, and heavy, but if you are in the mood, it gets a firm recommendation.

Tried a pint at brewpub in Texarkana. Pours dark brown with buff 1/2-inch head of foamy, maple goodness. The beer is on the sweet side, but balanced with pecan bitterness and toasty malt. Mouthfeel is creamy with just enough carbonation to keep it light. Gets better with every sip.
