Daddy likey. Layers of chocolate, mild pepper, cinnamon, thin mouthfeel but that helps distinguish the layers of flavors. Greg tastes tobacco, but he’s from Greenville. Molasses, creamy chocolate, and yo mama. Very good and we are drinking it 5 years after the canning date!!!

12 oz can from Tavour. Thick, black pour, beige head subsides almost instantly. Savory aroma, cinnamon, coffee cake. Taste offers roast malts supplemented by cinnamon, brown sugar and light chilies. Sweet, warm, but not boozy.

12oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of bubbly foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of chile peppers, smoked malt and caramel. Spicy heat, smokiness and toasted caramel. Notes of oak and subtle vanilla. Medium bodied and strong.

Pours midnight black with a decent amount of thick espresso colored foam that dissipates rather quickly. Smell is cinnamon, spice, and chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate and cinnamon with hints of coffee and toffee. The ancho chili spice is not as prevalent as I hoped. This could be due to the aging of the beer. Fairly sweet and creamy similar to a milk stout. Mouthfeel is thick and oily and lingers. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this beer and would buy again if i ever saw it.

Anthracite coal colored body topped with a thin yet lasting head. Excellent aroma of chili peppers and roasted grain. Incredibly bold and balanced taste of chili peppers and milk and baker's chocolate flavors; cocoa; cinnamon dust. Silky smooth body; heavy and slick; outstanding hot chili pepper heat offsetting the heavy residual sugars; warm.
Now this is one damn fine chili stout! Sure, the looks aren't the greatest due to it's relatively thin head, but everything else comes together in one explosive package. It's rich and decadent, hot and spicy, smooth and oily...it's a spicy meal in a bottle, and that's a pretty piss poor bit of descriptive justice for this beer! But, oh, what a joy to sip!!!

Appearance is dark, with a thin, cream-colored head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is fantastic! Most noticeable is the cinnamon and coffee, with just a hint of chile behind it. Taste follows, with a heavy, full-bodied malty flavor perfectly balanced by the sweet chocolate and coffee notes, with the chile finishing it off amazingly well. Mouthfeel is creamy and thick, with just a hair too much carbonation. I'm sad that this is a limited release - the second can will be gone by tomorrow, and I'll have to make another trip to the store for some to trade later!

Dark as burnt oil. Head is like cream in color. Nose is sweet with a hint of cinnamon. Taste has a bitter to it, with a sweet finish. Afterwards there is a slight tingle, assume from chile. Very good beer. Highly recommend.
