Is this beer delicious? Well that’s a Texas -sized 10-4, good buddy. All the maple-y sweetness balanced with the roast of the dark malt finished off with just the right amount of coffee to make you want to fry up some eggs and pancakes to complete this breakfast inspired treat. Smooth, robust, but not overly boozy, this brew is one you’ll start and end your day with. Cheers!

You know what for 11% not bad! 903 is notorious for have big boozy profiles in their imperial stouts so much that you can actually taste the ethanol burn but here fairly balanced! Maple syrup roasted malts and just a hint of bakers chocolate help to cover up said burn with a mildly hoppy bitter finish. To the person above me who compared it to CBS you must be smoking crack its barely together but for the first time it works. I would actually finish this and maybe have another its that drinkable! Finally next to the white Russian a beer from 903 that I enjoyed! Recommended!

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a dark brown color with a one finger head of tan colored foam. The head fades rather fast, leaving a touch of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is huge of a roasted malt smell mixed with tons of caramel and coffee. Along with these aromas comes notes of coffee and crème as well as some maple syrup and brown bread. With this is a little bit of a grainy, molasses, and toast smells.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet caramel, molasses, and brown sugar flavor mixed with a good deal of roasted malt and some lighter coffee notes. While the maple was light in the nose, it was quite a bit stronger on the tongue, joining the other sweeter flavors to create the base sweetness of the brew. As the taste advances the sweetness does fade a tad, losing a little bit of the carmal and molasses tastes. All the while, the roastiness gets stronger and some alcohol tastes become more pronounced. With some light vanilla and woodiness, one is left with a nice roasty, moderately sweet, and lightly warming taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. The body isn’t quite as thick for a brew of its strength and abv, and may have been slightly lower then optimal, but overall the feel was pretty nice and overall good.
Overall – A rather nice flavorful, but very drinkable, non-cloying stout. On to try at least once!

Black pour with light brown finger of foam head.
Smell is a coffee/ maple syrup combo; nice sweet balance between the syrup and the fresh coffee grind notes.
Taste is like a CBS albeit in 903’s own way. Tasty maple syrup notes with roasted malt and coffee notes. There’s kind a milky aspect to the flavor. Sweet but not in the finish- there’s enough hops and bitterness to counterbalance things.
Feels creamy and slightly sticky. Medium carbonation.
Coffee lingers the most for me here, even though the maple syrup is prominent up front. Give this one a try if you like the style.

A: The beer is essentially jet black in color. It poured with a narrow collar of light beige bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of maple are present in the nose along with hints of bourbon.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of maple along with hints of bourbon.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The maple and bourbon in this stout don’t seem to mesh together.
Serving type: can

Jet black body; thick and heavy light tan head; creamy. Strong maple syrup smell with notes of roasted grain; caramel. Heavy sweetness; molasses and maple syrup; coffee notes and bitterness; pancakes. Heavy body; velvety and sticky.
This beer prominently features maple syrup and, to a lighter extent, coffee. It is heavily on the sweet side of things but doesn't reach the cloying level. The coffee adds a nice counterpoint to the overall sweetness, adding some nice balance to the overall picture.

L: Rich brown-black hue with a bubbly beige ring and little to no lacing.
S: Smells much like a sweet milk stout, with huge maple syrup - a little on the cheap added flavor / artificial side, but not terribly.
T: Follows the nose but with big roasty char presence and bitter coffee. Good contrast. The ABV is well hidden.
F: Moderate carbonation on a thin body - but I feel that is just right for this brew.
O: Quite heavy-handed on the maple but I suppose that is better than a majority where it cannot be found. Long-lasting bitter backbone. I could handle just one, but would try it again some time.
