I don't know what kind of malts to hops these guys use but they always make very dry bitter boozy imperial stouts and this is no exception. The cherry does kind of help to round out the massive 13% but surprisingly one of the better ones I had since it has a decent amount of bitter chocolate to tart candy cherry flavor. Not bad just not exceptional.

Aroma is chocolate/dark chocolate and fruit/mild cherry, kind of like a chocolate covered cherry candy. The flavor is dark/roasted malts, chocolate covered cherry candy and a mildly sweet/vinous alcohol finish.

It was good but not exceptional. Mouthfeel was thin and it was just too sweet. Overall a little watery for the style. These are the cons. It's still a tasty stout. There are just better and more balanced out there.

pours dark great head smells of chocolate - great chocolate and cherry taste
