L: An odd chalky grey-purple murk. Half a finger of lighter purple foam leaving unsightly sediment all over the glass.
S: Slightly medicinal and tart berryness. More on the raspberry, then pomegranate side.
T: Ditto. There is an earthiness here that reinforces the medicinal qualities. Like this is the best elixir I’ve ever had but it’s medicine just the same. Not sure where the stout is at. some tiny funk.
F: Moderately thick, lactose is here and other smoothie qualities. It is fairly sweet bit finishes more tart and dry. A touch chalky and astringent.
O: I’ve had some stout sour blends and a couple of those were the best of the best of any beverage let alone beer that I’ve ever had. Unfortunately this is not that.
I see where the smoothie concept came in strong but for me this beer is a total mess and should have ended as an experiment before scaling up and canning. 903’s Welcome to Canada was pretty good so I had high hopes.
