The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with decent lacing and fair head retention. On the nose... Sigh. I get it that this beer is loaded with adjuncts, but there's a distinct artificial sweetener aroma to this beer that is a bit off putting. Also, despite what it says on the can label, I'm not picking up much in the way of peanut butter. I'm mostly just getting a lot of artificial berry flavor of some sort, along with some underlying dark chocolate and light coffee. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this sweet stout, and I found the mouthfeel to be a bit thin (at least for the abv). It's not awful, but the sweetness coupled with the artificial berry flavor doesn't seem to mesh all that well together. The alcohol is pretty well integrated into the flavor profile (always a good thing in these adjunct laden stouts), but the artificial sweetness mars the beers drinkability.
This isn't awful, and I'm glad I had the chance to try it, but this isn't a beer I would go looking for in the future. So maybe it's just as well that the brewery has apparently discontinued making it.

not too many breweries can make a flavorful beer and make it taste great - this is one of the great ones - so many flavors peanut butter, blackberry, strawberry and raspberry- . take your time with this beer and study the flavors
