We were visiting family in the Dallas area and decided to take a drive up to Sherman to visit 903. The brewpub is in a shady industrial area and until you walk into the brewpub you might be thinking about turning your car around. We went in (we drove an hour so...) and the inside was Texas through and through. We have been ordering 903 beers from Tavour for several months and so we made the drive based on our experience with what we've had... Bren was excited for the trip for sure. The beer selection was pretty diverse and we decided to fly some beer back with us in our checked baggage (actually in our daughter's bag, don't tell anyone). We got this home, chilled it and poured into an imperial pint glass.

Look: dark blood red with a large two finger sized pink-ish head the dissipated quickly and left a big ring of thick fruit purée on the glass.
Smell: earthy sweet candied fruit, blackberry and blueberry prominent on the front nose
Taste: up front we get an earthy black current flavor followed by sour and sweet blackberry and blueberry notes, mango lands on the backend with some beery notes, marshmallow lingers
Feel: FULL mouthfeel, slight tickle of carbonation. The purée value is crazy in this one giving a smooth fruit smoothy feel.

If you have tried the 903 smoothy line, this one will not disappoint you. It is a full fruit smoothy, 6.2 hidden ABV. The Berliner description is fitting, but this is smoothy to it’s core. We really like the smoothy line from 903.
