We got a couple of the sets of Cannonball Run, one from 903 and one from Wiley Roots because they said to mix them. We got them from Tavour and in 16 ounce cans, chilled them and poured into a pint glass.
Look: orange/pink/grapefruit color (?), cloudy, small fourth finger size white head of foam that left a ring of off white foam and no lacing as we drank.
Smell: cranberry, lemon and them some peach with a subtle vanilla and malt
Taste: follows the smell... cranberry up front, then sour lemon and some peach on the back that lingers with the sour, then maltiness nad vanilla that lingers a while with the malt. No bitter and no booze at all.
Feel: crisp and fruity light to medium mouthfeel that is light and refreshing for an intensely fruit packed beverage. Nice tickle of light carbonation that stuck around while it warmed.
Super interesting fruited sour. The collab is interesting and so we are putting the collab combo down below for those hard core readers.
Cheers everyone!
The directions for the collaboration beers (903 Brewers & Wiley Roots Brewing) say to enjoy them separate or mix them together so that is what we did!
Look: Super cloudy orange is pink, left a quarter finger sized head that dissipated and left a small of white head that left fruit pulp on the side of the glass.
Smell: Fruitiness: pineapple, orange cranberry, citrus, spices like cinnamon and dark sugar subtleness. There is a malty pastry note there as well with the cinnamon.
Taste: Pineapple up front with orange, then some lemon and cranberry, peach on the end with a pastry maltiness that is accentuated by the cinnamon and subtle brown sugar that underlies the deep sweet and sour notes that linger. Reminds me of a sour fruit cobbler.
Feel: Full but not syrupy, sour pucker as well, a light and refreshing tickle of carbonation even as it warmed. Very refreshing.
Wow... we were excited about the two beers but hesitant on the combo of the two... Bren was like, get two glasses and mix it maybe halfway up the pint glass... so I did... now we are going to mix the two together all the way... amazing, fun, sour fruit cobbler. 903 has the corner market on fruity beers and their collaboration didn’t disappoint. Is there a rating greater than 5 for a collab?

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy brownish yellow in color. It poured with a narrow collar of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of cranberries and brown sugar are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of peaches with hints of lemon.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer was hardly sour at all so it was very easy to drink. I thought that the taste had an interesting combination of flavors.
